Veronika Drolc started working professionally in theatre when still in high school, having been a child actor on film and television. She graduated from the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana and worked in most Slovenian theatres, either as a member of their ensembles or as a guest (Ljubljana City Theatre, Mladinsko Theatre, Prešeren Theatre Kranj, Mini Theatre, SNT Drama Ljubljana, Drama SNT Maribor, SNT Nova Gorica, Slovene Permanent Theatre), as well as in several Croatian, German and Austrian theatres. A member of the SNT Drama Ljubljana ensemble since 2007, she has won many awards, including the Prešeren Fund Award, three Borštnik Awards and several film awards. Three distinct spheres are distinctly evident in her film and television roles: mysterious »icons« – Julija Primic and Alma Karlin, and their total opposite, the unconventional Mum in the film Sweet Dreams (screenplay by Miha Mazzini, directed by Sašo Podgoršek). She loves dubbing cartoons. For many years she translated children’s literature from different languages. In 2018, she redesigned the Social and Sociable programme at the SNT Drama and hosted her selection of talks until the epidemic broke out in 2020.
