Our top level foyer, a venue above the Drama Café, is dedicated to the memory of Jernej Šugman, one of our most eminent actors. The Šugman Salon welcomes you to enjoy screenings of archive footage of our past productions, talks, lectures and convivial get-togethers. In cooperation with the RTV Slovenia Archives, in season 2018/19 we were launching a programme strand, called The Archeology of Theatre. Its objective was simple: to bring back memories of Drama’s best past productions and to allow theatre lovers, professionals in the field and students a historical overview of our activities. Productions, doomed to perish after the final curtain call, was given a new lease of life.

Every second Thursday of the month during the 2018/19 season you were invited to watch a selection of our most memorable productions from the archives of the RTV Slovenija at the Šugman Salon. The entrance fee was donated to the Jernej Šugman Trust, founded by the Association of Drama Artists of Slovenia, aimed at providing grants for talented theatre makers.
