What happens when an actor encounters a script for the first time? How do words gradually take shape as voice, body, character and a relationship with the audience? Where does the journey begin ̶    from the first reading to the moment a role comes alive on stage? Thinking Acting, vol. 1 is a series of three encounters with three pairs of actors, offering a glimpse into the creative world of acting. Through the personal experiences and working methods of our guests, we will explore how an actor’s expression takes shape and what influences it.

Each encounter will focus on one guest. The conversation will be introduced by actress Nina Ivanišin, who will be joined by a fellow actor or actress chosen by the guest. Together, they will take the audience on a journey through the guest’s relationship with the script, from the first reading, through the process of discovery and exploration, to interpretation and, perhaps, the performance of a monologue. We will explore the decisions, doubts, intuition and experiences that, over the years, become part of an actor’s practice and shape their artistic expression.

The first evening will feature Tina Vrbnjak in conversation with fellow actress Mina Švajger.
