Timon Šturbej studied stage acting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana in the class of Professors Jožica Avbelj, Jernej Šugman and Jernej Lorenci. In June 2015, he attended international film workshops at the Munich Film Academy led by Professor Lou Binder. During his studies, he performed at the SNT Drama Ljubljana and the Ljubljana City Theatre and won the Stane Sever Fund Award for students of acting. He is an electrifying and intelligent actor with extraordinary stage energy, which also enables him excellent transition when acting for film camera. He starred in feature films Mad Foxes by Boris Jurjašević, Consequences by Darko Štante and in My Last Year as a Loser by Urša Menart. He won the national Vesna Award for best supporting actor in the role of Željko in Consequences. From December 2017 to 2018, he was a member of the SNT Drama Maribor resident ensemble. Since 2018, he has been a member of the Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble.
