Saša Mihelčič graduated in stage acting in the class of Professors Mile Korun and Matjaž Zupančič and pursued further training in acting in Paris. She perfected her foreign language skills with proficiency tests in English and French and completed a one-year course in interior design at the Famul Stuart School of Applied Arts. From 1998 to 2003 she worked free-lance and appeared in most Slovenian theatres. She has been a member of the SNT Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble since 2003 and has always fascinated the audience with her compelling and in-depth studies of characters. She integrates her experience of acting, foreign languages and love of fine arts also in collaboration with the National Gallery of Slovenia in presenting paintings in French and Slovenian, in reciting Slovenian poetry in French (Europe Festival in France) and in cooperation with the Embassy of France in cultural events. In addition, she has been the book ambassador with the Beletrina Academic Press and has also collaborated with the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and authored a night of lyric love poems as interpreter and scriptwriter, joined on stage by the Clarpiano duo. She regularly follows and occasionally contributes articles on fine arts, design and architecture. In 2010, she was a columnist writing on cultural events in Paris for the periodical Delo Revije. In her twenty-year career she has appeared on stage in Rome, London, Vienna, Nice, Wiesbaden, Trieste, Sofia, Prague, Budapest and elsewhere.
