Uroš Fürst graduated in stage acting in the class of Professors Dušan Jovanović and Janez Hočevar. He pursued further training in acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and at the Herbert Bergof Studio in New York. A member of the SNT Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble since 1999, he has appeared in numerous prominent roles of classical and contemporary drama repertoires. In addition, he appeared as guest in other theatres and is the artistic director of SiTi Theatre BTC. The highly successful solo play comedy Defending the Caveman has brought him wider recognition, and he also frequently appears in films. His most noteworthy role is Uroš in Practicing Embrace by Metod Pevec, for which he won the national Vesna Award for Best Male Performance. He is also the recipient of several other accolades, including two Borštnik Awards. As a leading man of the ensemble, his creations are characterised by contemporary performativity and sharpness of mind. As an actor, he loves to venture effortlessly in diverse theatre worlds and fascinates with intelligent wit.
