Sabina Kogovšek studied Slovene studies at the Faculty of Arts, University of Ljubljana, and stage acting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana in the class of Professors Dušan Jovanović and Janez Hočevar. Following her graduation, she first worked as a free-lance actor and appeared as guest in almost all Slovenian theatres, including the Koper theatre, the Ptuj City Theatre, the Mladinsko Theatre and the Špas Theatre. She has been a member of the SNT Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble since 2006. As an actress, she stands out for her in-depth study of detail, skilful moderation and stage presence and the ability to immerse in various director’s poetics and roles ranging from classical to contemporary drama repertoires. Due to her characteristic voice and the quality of acting diction, she regularly collaborates with the art programme of the Slovenian national radio and is involved in dubbing cartoons for the Slovenian national television. She also appears in films and on television and is interested in other areas of artistic expression, such as music and storytelling.
