Description

Jure Henigman began his studies at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television (University of Ljubljana) in 2004 and completed his training in the class of professors Mile Korun and Matjaž Zupančič. In 2007, he received the Student Sever Award for his outstanding roles in student productions. During his studies he drew attention to himself with several appearances in professional theatres including Glej Theatre, Škuc, Mini teater and the Ljubljana City Theatre. In the 2007/08 season he made his debut at the SNT Drama Ljubljana in Das Käthchen von Heilbronn by Heinrich von Kleist, and in The Conqueror by Andrej Hieng. From 2008 to 2022 he was a member of the Ljubljana City Theatre resident ensemble and created an astonishing array of brilliant roles and proved to be a versatile actor of remarkable gift, excelling in the title roles of classical repertoire as well as a protagonist of many contemporary plays.

Henigman is also an accomplished film actor. He starred in the student short film Duck Hunting by Rok Biček and in 9.06 by Igor Šterk and Personal Baggage by Janez Lapajne. His major success was the role of Gregor in A Trip by Nejc Gazvoda, awarded nationally and internationally. He has also appeared in Dual by Nejc Gazvoda, A Miner by Hanna Slak, and in Man with the Shadow by Emma Kugler. He is a leading man of the Drama ensemble.

Henigman has also starred in television films The Pairing Game and Girls Don’t Cry, as well as in various television series including A+, Champions of the World, Moms, Coupled and Professor.
