In the play The Doctor, internationally acclaimed and multi-award-winning British playwright and theatre director Robert Icke sets medical ethics against religious and ideological beliefs, populism, and the toxicity of public opinion. Director of the first Slovenian production, Martin Kušej, returns to the Slovenian theatre scene with The Doctor after nearly two decades of working with the most prominent dramatic and opera theatres in the German-speaking world, most recently serving as the director of the Burgtheater in Vienna.

The premiere will take place on Thursday, April 17, at 8:00 PM on the Main Stage of Drama. The first reruns are scheduled for April 18, 19, 22, and 25 at 7:30 PM, April 24 at 5:00 PM, and May 5 at 7:30 PM. The performance on May 10 at 7:00 PM will be followed by a conversation with the creators of the production.
