Zvezdana Mlakar is the winner of the Best Female Actor Award of the 53rd Slovenian Drama Week Festival for the role of Winter-She in the production of Wives in Dough, original project based on Slovenian folk songs, directed by Živa Bizovičar and produced as part of the Waiting for Superman programme platform at the Drama Ljubljana. 

According to the jury, consisting of Tery Žeželj (chair), Diana Koloini and Anđelka Nikolić, »Zvezdana Mlakar created a heart-breaking character of Winter-She in Živa Bizovičar’s production of Wives in Dough. Her appearance combines traditional knowledge and wisdom, while sustaining contemporary acting form of expression. Mlakar presents an extremely complex and ambivalent female identity by delving far deeper than the stereotypical readings of old women in the folk imagination, and not shying away from expressing cruelty, anger and revolt. In the production relying on ensemble acting, Mlakar has three excellent partners. However, it is her performance that makes the production particularly intense and poignant.«
