Jure Pukl, is one of the most prolific and creative saxophonists among the younger Slovene jazz musicians. Living and working in New York he has toured internationally in Asia, the USA, and Israel as well in Europe. In 2015 he was awarded the Slovenian highest national award for Arts, the Prešeren Fund Award.
Matija Dedić, a jazz pianist in composer is based in Zagreb, and ranks as one of the leading Croatian jazz musicians. He has toured in Croatia, Europe and the USA with many international musicians.
Music played by Pukl and Dedić will provide a rather intimate experience since the very format of a duo is conducive to a chamber music-like atmosphere. The duo will perform a number of original tracks written especially for the occasion as well as their older pieces and jazz standard covers. This musical event promises to be a night of melancholy, intimacy, intense feelings and lyricism, with the inevitable share of swing and open-ended improvisations.
