Danilo Kiš (1935-1989) is considered one of the greatest Yugoslav writers. In Slovenia he is best known for his Encyclopaedia of the Dead and A Tomb for Boris Davidovich. Anthropologist Svetlana Slapšak will address the latter in the context of his literature.
