In the 2026/27 theatre season, we are launching a new programme series: Conversations About Acting.

The series arises from a desire to take a closer look at the craft and practice of acting and to reflect on how acting can be understood, articulated, and interpreted, and to place it within broader contexts.

Curated and moderated by actress Nina Ivanišin, and developed in collaboration with the Slovenian Theatre Institute and the publication Teorije Prakse, the series will consist of three theatre events dedicated to exploring the artistic practice of selected actors. At the same time, it marks the beginning of a longer-term inquiry into the art of acting and the ways it has evolved and taken shape within the Slovenian theatre landscape. Each event will offer the featured actor an opportunity to share their own understanding of acting and the actor’s craft, to reflect on their creative processes and working methods, and to provide insight into their artistic practice.
