SNT Drama Ljubljana continues the season 2020/21 with the staging of the play Cement by Heiner Müller, one of the most important playwrights of the second half of the 20th century in the German language. The upcoming performance on the Drama Main Stage is the second part of an international trilogy, conceived after Müller’s play by director Sebastijan Horvat and the author of the adaptation and dramaturg Milan Ramšak Marković in Zagreb, Ljubljana and Belgrade. Each of the performances of the trilogy explores a different aspect of the play: the Ljubljana one, based on a translation by Mojca Kranjc, focuses on the intimate story of the protagonist couple, Gleb and Dasha.The cast includes Nataša Barbara Gračner, Marko Mandić, Igor Samobor, Vanja Plut, Nejc Cijan Garlatti, Gorazd Logar and Timon Šturbej. Set designer and author of the video is Igor Vasiljev, costume designer Belinda Radulović, composer Drago Ivanuša, lighting designer Aleksandar Čavlek, language consultant Tatjana Stanič and assistant to the director Nina Ramšak Marković.
The premiere will be on Saturday, 13 February at 20.00 on the Main Stage. A rerun of Cement will be on Tuesday, 16 February at 20.00.
