Zvone Hribar studied stage acting in the class of film director Igor Pretnar for the first two years and in the class of Professor Polde Bibič in the final two years at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television, University of Ljubljana. He graduated with the role of Artur in Tango by Slawomir Mrożek, directed by Janez Pipan and mentored by Zvone Šedlbauer, and received the Prešeren Award for Students. He has been a member of the SNT Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble since 1979 and has created a plethora of leading and supporting roles in which he excels as an inventive and energetic actor of classical and contemporary drama repertoires. He has appeared in other Slovenian theatres as well: the SNT Drama Maribor, the Glej Theatre and the Koper Theatre, in films and in television shows which have brought him wider recognition. Particularly noteworthy is the power and presence of his voice that enhances the art programme of the Slovenian national radio.
