Mina Švajger completed her primary and secondary education at Bežigrad Primary School and High School Šiška (sports class) in Ljubljana. As a child she trained figure skating, roller skating and in-line skating and occasionally lived in Milan and Moscow where she trained. At the age of 18, an injury ended her sports career, so she turned to art. She performed in the School Impro League and was awarded the Best Performer of the Season title in 2019. The same year she passed the entrance exam to study acting at the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Television and Film (AGRFT) in Ljubljana, in the class of Professors Nataša Barbara Gračner and Sebastijan Horvat. In 2022, she took part in the 24th International Convention of Drama Schools in Corsica, supervised by international mentors and led by Serge Nikolaï. The same year she won the Sever Student Award for the roles of Laura in The Glass Menagerie and Mae in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (2022), and the Goldilocks Student Award for the lead female role of Maris in David Champaign’s graduation film 2030 (2023). In 2024, she graduated with honours in acting and appeared in one of the lead roles in Urška Djukić’s feature debut Little Trouble Girls. She also made her debut at the SNT Drama Ljubljana in The Welkin by Lucy Kirkwood, directed by Sebastijan Horvat. Prior to that she acted performed in several other productions, including the first production of Two Little Girls, a play by Nina Kuclar Stiković (shortlisted for the Grum Award), directed by Bor Ravbar, The Realists, directed by Alenka Hain (in Klagenfurt, Austria) which both featured in the accompanying programme of the 54th Week of Slovenian Drama Festival in 2024,  as well as in The Power of Darkness, directed by Maša Pelko (Celje City Theatre). A music enthusiast, Švajger graduated in piano at a music school and has in recent years developed keen interest in singing and enjoys performing at the annual concerts of the Ljubljana City Theatre and the AGRFT.
