Two afternoons in October are devoted to the recently deceased poet of love, fiction and essay author, translator and, above all, the great personality Ciril Zlobec who »never celebrated his victories, but did not surrender when defeated either«. His mother had instilled his love of poetry, although he was strongly attracted to the art of painting when he was a boy. However, he took to the pen and became one of the greatest masters of Slovenian literature, a poet, constantly guided and inspired by love. He often reflected on eternity. His poetry which he always described as a dialogue with the reader, definitely made Ciril Zlobec eternal.

We invite you to the Drama Café on Tuesday, 2 October, and Thursday, 4 October at 17.00 to hear the members of the SNT Drama Ljubljana resident ensemble reading selected poems by Ciril Zlobec. With the events, Drama joins the National Month of Reading. Admission free.
